The first step is to connect your current POS system to the Krossroads Platform. This is done via API, extensions or plugins. For a list of currently supported systems, please see the Integrations page.
Once your POS is connected to the Krossroads Platform, we retrieve the data that will be synchronized to target systems. This includes data pertaining to products, inventory, categories and customers, etc.
Having selected and setup the systems that you want to target (online stores, marketplaces, advertising platforms), the Krossroads Platform will relay your data to the target systems based on the specific requirements for each target system.
The heavy lifting happens once your target systems are activated. The Krossroads Platform will synchronize order, inventory and customer updates from each of your target systems back to your POS system as well as the other corresponding systems. New changes occurring on your POS system will also be relayed to the target systems.
Initial setup is similar to Steps 1 & 2 above.
Each person in your team who will be operating the Mobile POS will need to have an account. Each individual account will be used for authentication as well as performance tracking.
With the Mobile POS app installed on your own Android or iOS devices (BYOD) or dedicated mobile POS terminals, your team can receive orders, process card payments and print receipts while roaming around your store or wherever they are. All orders are automatically synced back to the main POS system.
Do you support multiple stores?
Yes indeed! Each company account can setup multiple stores whereby each store has its own inventory and employees. Furthermore, you can setup virtual stores for special purposes such as B2B customers, Popup Stores, Mobile Stores, Conference booths etc.
What payment methods are supported?
You are free to use any of the payment methods supported by the target channel e.g. If you have a Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, Amazon, etc store, you can use any payment method that is supported by the respective platform. For the Mobile POS solution, we support a wide range of payment options including Stripe, Square, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, etc. If need be, we can do custom integrations for payment methods not currently supported by the Krossroads Platform.
How frequently is data synchronized?
Changes originating from the reference system e.g. inventory updates, price changes, new products, etc are relayed to the connected peer systems immediately after they are saved on the reference system. Changes originating from peer systems such as new orders are relayed to the reference system immediately after they occur on the peer system.
How does the reference catalog work?
Our reference catalog contains information on millions of products including books, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), consumer electronics, hobby products etc. By matching your price list from your POS with information in our catalog, we are able to automatically build storefronts for your products. This saves a considerable amount of time that would otherwise be spent acquiring and maintaining a product catalog.
Can I use my Android/iOS device with the Mobile POS?
The Mobile POS can be installed on Android devices running Android OS 4.4 and above or any iOS device running iOS 10 and above. Some features such as barcode scanning, payment card processing, geo-fencing etc depend on the features on the device. The Mobile POS also requires the device to have an active internet connection.
What if my system is not currently supported?
We are always adding new integrations for systems that are not currently supported by the Krossroads Platform. If your current system is not listed, please contact us to discuss potentially adding an integration for it.
